With the floods of November, the popular saying hit a little too close to home this year. The golf course, part of the floodplain of the Otter River basin, suffered through the flash flood emergency called by the Governor. What a difference six months makes – from wanting to build an ark to FORE! Our season has begun, so sign up for your tee time!

And Speaking of Flowers….
Here’s a fun fact: the tradition of the corsage comes from a 20th century practice of men bringing their date’s parents a bouquet of flowers. From that, they would select a single bloom to pin to their date’s dress. In the making are the traditional corsages and boutonnieres that will soon find their way as the finishing touches for Juniors and Seniors at S.S. Seward Institution as Otterkill prepares to welcome the classes of 2022 and 2023 from Florida Union Free School District on May 16th – celebrating the SPARTAN SPIRIT!
